- The main difference between appointment-based services and fixed-scheduled services is, appointments are booked from a free calendar based on your staff availability, while fixed-dated services have a specific pre-defined start and end date.
- Any services that are private or semi-private are "Appointment" based. By definition, any home service is private for a client. Services like massage, 1:1 tutoring, and physiotherapy sessions are all private.
- Fixed-dated services (Activity or experience, courses or programs) are most of the time group sessions. A training institute cannot please 8-10 students by asking them their preferred dates and times. Instead they issue certain batches and students like to enroll in them.
- For most businesses all of these schedule types are relevant. A cooking school or even a personal trainer may have group lessons and private lessons.
